After putting our bodies to work with Wayne’s Personal Defence Readiness workshop, and Becca’s Suffrajitsu and stage combat session; our minds with Dr Clare and Ben Anderson’s exploration of language and claiming the floor, it was time to put our vocal chords to the test.
Absolute Harmony are an Accapella choir based at Royal Holloway, University of London, and several of them joined us for a lovely hour of singsong. There is something unique and uniting about singing together as a group, and without any instruments, we experienced what it feels like to make music with just our voices. Who knew that Egham Rangers could sound so tuneful!
It was a testament to Absolute Harmony that each Ranger felt confident and comfortable to join in, despite singing being outside of some of their comfort zones.
