18th January 2018 - Introduction to the project and a live debate!

Our first official meeting for our Suffragette Project - tonight was about introducing some of our newer girls to the project and why its important. Ursula Clayton, the co-lead on the project led a powerpoint presentation on what will happen over the next few weeks and what it meant to be a suffragette.

We discussed few modern issues affecting women all over the world today. This included whether "Abortion should be illegal" the girls were unanimous that every woman should have the right to decide what is right for their own life and body. *super proud leader of here*

We also discussed whether "people choose to be gay" and whether "men work harder than women". It provoked quite a few reactions from the girls and I actually managed to get them to have a real live debate over some of the subjects.

We then ended with fun one which was Pepsi vs. Coke - apparently they don't like either!

Here are a few images from the evening. The end result is that the girls are very excited about our upcoming project. Yay!
